Lemon quartz briolette earrings

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

We had these absolutely wonderful briollette cut lemon quartz in our case. Tim had just been dying to do something with them as they where wonderfully cut. Briolette cut gemstone first became popular in the west when they arrived in Europe from India in the Victorian age. This particular cut was used by the rich and hung from their turbans. As the stones moved around the would catch the light and sparkle from any direction, perfect for earrings!

Green Tourmaline

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

This one is for our cusotmer Sam. He came in and wanted a custom wedding band that featured green tourmilinea set in white gold. Tim, our designer is real good at this style of free form ring so he did up 6 different styles and we emailed them off to the customer. Sam decided to go with the one on the lower left and now the job has come to me to bring Tim’s design into our CAD system and carve a wax. I’ll post a render(computer generated image)  when i am done.
